Lapeer Sunrise
Serving the Children of the World

Of the 9000 Kiwanis Clubs in the U.S., 50 cities have two Kiwanis Clubs and Lapeer Michigan is one of them.

We meet every Wednesday morning at 7:30 am at:
The Farm House Family Restaurant
282 S. Main Street
Lapeer, MI 48446 [Map]

The Lapeer Sunrise Kiwanis Club (Chartered in 2001) focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child and one community at a time.

To do this, we sponsor the following:
  • Key Club for teens, a high school service and leadership club.
  • Aktion Club, for adults living with disabilities.
  • The BackPack Program, providing nutritious food weekly for over 200 children at two local elementary schools in Lapeer.
  • Lapeer Art & History Festival, a juried fine arts festival, held annually the first weekend in June. Proceeds from the festival are returned to the community through these projects: The Lapeer Goodfellows (food, clothing & toys for families at Christmas), Lapeer Area Citizens Against Domestic Abuse (LACADA), Family Literacy Center, Mentors for Kids, Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce (Fireworks), Love INC, Child Advocacy Center and Summer Camp for local kids.
